Jumeirah Beach Park

We went to Jumeirah Beach Park on last Saturday (22/09/2012). At first, I plan to leave home after 'asar. However, as this is my first time I was too excited (maybe) and afraid if the place is too far from home, so we headed off to the park at 3pm by taxi. 

It only took around 20minutes from my home to reach the Park with taxi fare AED20. The taxi dropped us at Gate 3. There is also bus stop just in front of the gate. What I can say is there are many clinics and hospitals in that area. The entrance ticket to this park is AED5 for adults and AED20 per car. Below are the opening hours for this Park:

Sunday-Wednesday: 7am to 10.30pm

Thursday-Saturday:7am to 11pm

Monday: 7am to 10.30pm (open for Women and children only)

Some facilities provided in this park is playground, BBQ area, spacious prayer room (air-conditioned), toilets, changing room, restaurants and of course the sandy beach and the sea water. Sunbeds can be rent for AED15 and umbrella for AED5. There is lifeguard on duty at the beach and the time allowed to swim is until 7pm.  Overall, the park is clean and well-maintained.

There are quite number of people swimming and laying under the sun. Nevertheless, we still can find spaces to place our umbrella and put our things. Bikinis, swimming shorts and swimming trunks can be wear at the beach only. No topless lady and naked allowed. We spent a great time there and returned home at 6.30pm. My son was so happy for geting soaked by the sea water for the first time and had chance to play at the playground.
