Dubai Tour-Big Bus Red Route

The tour continued after we had our lunch and Zuhur at Burjuman Mall. We stopped at Creek Walk to enjoy the Dhow Cruise. Dhow is sailing vessel from Arabic word (Arabic داو dāw).

The 1-hour cruise is free for all Big Bus Tour passengers. The dhow has 2 storeys- lower is fully air-conditioned, while the upper deck us is open air. There are also toilets on the dhow.

They also sell drink, ice cream and shawarma on the dhow. However, we need to pay ourselves. The was an incident where the one of the Dhow's staff being scolded by an Arab passenger (not sure Emirate or from other Arab countries) because she said the shawarma is too expensive, which is AED15. Poor the Indian staff, he did not say anything. I think the Arab lady was not supposed to scold the guy. He is just the worker. The lady should complaint the price to the dhow's management or she did not have to buy the shawarma. 

By the way, we bought one shawarma just to try how it was. Hahahha. The taste is average, but usually we do expect they will mark up the price things sell on the place like this (ferry, flights, trains, etc)

The dhow cruised along the creek and we saw nice view and a lot of activities taking places along the creek. The creek is very important as a commercial site at the beginning of Dubai until now. It was also the place where the members of Bani Yas tribe (Dubai founder) settled in 19th century. 

There are a lot of way to enjoy the creek. You can take abra, dhow, water taxi, private boat and wonder bus (I just know about water bus). All of them have different ticket price and the different route/distance.

The cruise end at the same place where it started. After that, we took the Big Bus to the Dubai Museum. As it is nearly Maghrib, we performed our prayer at the masjid near the mosque, then took taxi home.
